Three things stack up. First, premises: consulting and operating space in central London costs a great deal more than in most of the country. Second, staffing: experienced surgeons and technicians command London salaries. Third, marketing: highly visible clinics spend heavily on advertising, and that spend is recovered through fees. None of this makes London clinics bad — many are excellent — but it does explain why the same graft count can cost noticeably more here than a hundred miles away, let alone abroad.

Ask any clinic — London or Riga — who performs the extraction and placement, how many grafts they recommend and why, what the aftercare involves, and what happens if you have questions later. A complete quote should include your consultation and plan, the procedure and materials, anaesthetic and same-day medication, an aftercare kit, follow-up reviews and a graft survival assurance.
